About Implant Abutment Preparation Holder
Abutments often need shaping before the crown is made. They are small and hard to hold steady by hand while they are ground. An abutment preparation holder grips the abutment in a collet, so you can hold the tool comfortably and work on the abutment with control, outside the mouth.
How it is made
- Tubular body that you hold like a handle.
- Threaded end collars that tighten the collet.
- Split-collet inserts that close around the abutment as the collar is tightened.
What the three pieces are
The set has three pieces, made up of the holder and its inserts. We list each piece and the insert sizes in your quotation, so you can check they suit the abutments you use.
Choosing the right inserts
Tell us the abutments you prepare, or their dimensions, and we confirm the collets hold them securely. The holder is for preparation only; it is not a driver or torque wrench for placing abutments.
