About Bone Expander and Sinus Kit

Our Bone Expander and Sinus Kit is a twelve-piece expansion set built around five graduated expansion screws from 2.6 to 4.3 mm. The screws can be turned by hand or from a motor. For this, the kit includes a hand driver, a 4 mm square ratchet wrench with extender, and a 4 mm motor-mount adapter, plus a 1.8 mm drill and two pins. Five labelled screw sizes make it straightforward to check the assortment against the expansion instruments your team already uses.

The twelve pieces

  • Expansion screws, one of each: 2.6, 3, 3.4, 3.8 and 4.3 mm
  • 4 mm square ratchet wrench
  • Ratchet extender
  • 4 mm motor-mount adapter
  • Hand driver
  • 1.8 mm drill
  • 2 pins

Three numbers, three meanings

Each figure in this kit belongs to a different part. Keep them apart when you compare the kit with an expansion system you already use:

  • 2.6 to 4.3 mm: the expansion screw sizes, listed as 2.6, 3, 3.4, 3.8 and 4.3 mm component labels.
  • 1.8 mm: the drill diameter, a separate size below the smallest screw.
  • 4 mm: drive dimensions. The motor-mount adapter is listed at 4 mm, and the ratchet wrench is a 4 mm square drive. Both describe connections, separate from the screw series.

Hand or motor turning

The hand driver, the ratchet wrench with its extender and the motor-mount adapter are three distinct driving accessories. Match their connections to the equipment you already use. The kit is centred on expansion screws and does not contain lateral-window burs or membrane elevators. Those instruments are offered as separate kits in our implant instrument range.

Material and reprocessing

All twelve pieces are polished AISI 420 stainless steel and reusable. Autoclave them using the time, pressure and drying parameters in the instructions supplied with the kit, and keep the temperature at or below 134 °C.

Ordering

When you request a quote, tell us how many kits you need. Also give us the ratchet and handpiece connections you need to match, and how the kits should be packed and documented for your market. These details let us quote a kit that matches your existing drive equipment.

Bone Expander and Sinus Kit Questions

How do screw expanders differ from osteotomes?

Screw expanders are threaded instruments that are advanced by turning. In this kit, they are turned with the hand driver, the ratchet wrench or a motor through the adapter. Osteotomes are a separate, unthreaded instrument form that is advanced axially rather than rotated. This kit contains the five screw expanders and their drive accessories.

Which expansion screw sizes are included?

One screw each of 2.6, 3, 3.4, 3.8 and 4.3 mm, five screws in total. The 1.8 mm drill is a separate instrument, not one of the screw sizes.

Does 'Sinus Kit' mean lateral-window burs or membrane elevators are included?

No. The twelve pieces are five expansion screws, a ratchet wrench, a ratchet extender, a motor-mount adapter, a hand driver, a 1.8 mm drill and two pins. Lateral-window burs and membrane elevators are offered as separate kits in our implant instrument range.

Can the screws be turned by hand and by motor?

Yes. The kit includes a hand driver, a 4 mm square ratchet wrench with extender, and a 4 mm motor-mount adapter. Tell us your handpiece when you enquire so we can check it against the adapter.

Does the 4 mm adapter mean there is a 4 mm expansion screw?

No. The 4 mm figures describe drive connections: the motor-mount adapter is listed at 4 mm, and the ratchet wrench is a 4 mm square drive. The expansion screws are 2.6, 3, 3.4, 3.8 and 4.3 mm.

How should the kit be reprocessed?

The instruments are reusable and autoclavable. Follow the full cycle in the instructions supplied with the kit, and do not exceed 134 °C.
