Choosing Impression Trays

Trays differ by arch, size and how they retain the impression material. Our impression tray selection guide explains the choices before you order.

Ordering for a Laboratory

Start with evaluation samples of 1-3 pieces per pattern if you are comparing suppliers. Mixed orders across patterns start at 25 instruments (mixed patterns), and modified patterns can be made as custom work from 50 pieces per pattern.

Standard orders take 10-15 working days to prepare before dispatch, then 7-12 business days by standard service to the USA or 10-15 business days to other named markets.

Common Questions

Does the dental laboratory page cover a complete laboratory equipment package?

No. The page lists instrument families such as articulators, impression trays, spatulas and measuring tools; it does not describe a complete laboratory equipment package. If you need a different hand tool or powered laboratory equipment, identify it separately in the inquiry rather than assuming that the laboratory audience label confirms its availability or includes a full workstation.

What details identify the modeling or waxing instrument I need?

Give the manufacturer reference or pattern name and describe both working ends, including the required shape and dimensions. Modeling and waxing are broad labels; they do not identify one universal spatula, blade or point. For an unlisted tool, request a quotation against those details and check the offered reference before treating it as a match.

How should I check an articulator or a replacement component before ordering?

Identify the exact model and the component or assembly you need, then specify the relevant mounting or mating details from your existing equipment. Compare those details with the offered item information. An articulator category or a similar-looking photograph does not establish compatibility with another model, and a replacement part should not be assumed to fit solely because it shares a general name.

What should I specify when requesting a laboratory spatula?

Identify the reference and required working-end shape, width or other relevant dimensions, including the second end if it is double-ended. State any component-material requirement separately. A general spatula name can describe several configurations, so compare the exact offered item rather than assuming that a family label establishes the shape or use requirements your laboratory specified.

How can I compare two laboratory instrument sets?

Compare the itemized bill of materials, references and quantities first. Separate similar labels that contain different working ends or omit a required tool, and identify any tray or case independently. A set's total piece count is useful for checking arithmetic, but it does not establish that the contents meet your laboratory list or that two sets can substitute for each other.
