About Endodontic Hand Plugger Set — 3 Instruments

Pluggers have flat, blunt tips that press softened gutta-percha down into the root canal during obturation. Different tip diameters reach different depths in a tapered canal, so pluggers are used in graduated sizes. This set gives you three double-ended hand pluggers, six tip sizes in all.

What is in the set

  • Three double-ended hand pluggers.
  • Six working ends of different sizes.
  • Colour-coded handles so each size is quick to identify.

These are manual hand instruments. They are not heated pluggers and do not connect to a heat source. We confirm each tip diameter, and whether a cassette is included, in your quotation.

Choosing tip sizes

Match the plugger tips to the canal sizes and obturation technique you use. If you need specific tip diameters, list them and we confirm whether the supplied set meets them.

Ordering

  • Order by number of sets.
  • For a single replacement, send a photograph of both ends and we match it.
  • Evaluation samples are available.

Care

Remove gutta-percha and sealer from the tips before they harden, check the tips are straight and undamaged, and follow the supplied processing instructions and your facility's validated protocol.

Endodontic Hand Plugger Set — 3 Instruments Questions

What does the three-instrument hand plugger set contain?

The set contains three complete double-ended endodontic hand pluggers. Each handle has two working ends, which gives six ends across the three instruments. The count refers to complete hand tools, which is the useful basis when you compare another plugger set's contents.

What is an endodontic hand plugger used for?

A hand plugger is a manual instrument in the gutta-percha compaction category, used during obturation. This set groups three such instruments with angled shafts and paired working ends. For procurement, match the plugger profiles to your instrument schedule instead of substituting a canal-cutting file or a restorative sculpting instrument.

Does this set include a powered heating or obturation unit?

No. This offer is a set of standalone manual hand pluggers. A powered heating or obturation unit has its own equipment and compatible working components, which makes it a different purchasing list; choose this product when you need complete manual plugger instruments.

Can I select a matching plugger by handle color alone?

No. The black, gold-colored and blue handles help you tell the three instruments apart visually, but a matched purchase needs the working ends and their dimensional specification. Manufacturers publish their own color and size schedules, so the paired tip references are a stronger match than a color description by itself.

Which working-end details should I compare across double-ended pluggers?

Compare each end's terminal profile and diameter, taper, shaft form and usable working length. Two ends on one handle can have different specifications, so record both when you match a complete instrument. Overall length is a separate field and should be compared separately from the working-end dimensions.
