About Endodontic Finger Ruler

During root canal treatment, each file is measured and its rubber stopper set to the working length. A finger ruler is worn on your finger like a ring, so the scale is always to hand and you can measure a file without putting it down or reaching for a separate ruler.

What it is

Using it

Place the file tip against the zero end of the scale, slide the stopper to the length you need, then check the reading. The ruler measures instruments; it does not determine a patient's working length, which is set by your own clinical method.
