About Dental Implant Bone Expander Kits
Bone expanders widen a narrow ridge, or prepare a softer site, by screwing tapered expanders into the bone one size at a time. Each size gently pushes the bone outwards, so the site reaches the width needed for the implant. Saw discs are used to make the initial cuts in the ridge.
What the kits share
All three kits contain five expanders in 2.6, 3.0, 3.4, 3.8 and 4.3 mm, two saw discs in 7 and 10 mm, a pilot, a latch adapter and a manual knob, in a case.
Choosing a kit
- Five-screw ratchet kit: adds a ratchet wrench and an extender for turning the expanders. It has no chisel or pins.
- 12-piece kit: adds a 4 mm wrench and a chisel.
- 17-piece kit: everything in the 12-piece kit, plus an extender and three pins.
The full contents of each kit are listed in the kit contents table. If you use expanders from another system, tell us and we confirm whether the adapters and wrench fit.
Ordering
- Choose the ratchet, 12-piece or 17-piece kit.
- Replacement expanders, discs and pins can be quoted: tell us the kit and the part.
- Evaluation samples are available.
Care
Clean the expander threads and disc teeth straight after use, check them for wear and return each piece to its place in the case. Follow the supplied processing instructions and your facility's validated protocol.
