About Rubber Dam Kit — Punch, Clamps and Forceps
This rubber dam kit puts twelve instruments in one set: nine clamps, one U-shaped frame, one rotary punch and one pair of clamp forceps. The dam sheet forms the isolation barrier; these instruments prepare it, hold it and secure it. The twelve counts instruments only, with the forceps counted as one instrument.

That is nine clamps plus three supporting instruments, not twelve clamps.
How the instruments work together
The punch makes the openings in the dam sheet, and its rotating perforated plate gives a choice of opening sizes. The clamp forceps grip a clamp so it can be opened, carried to the tooth and released or removed. The clamp is the retention component that anchors the dam at the tooth, and the frame holds the stretched sheet clear of the working area. The clamp forceps are a different instrument from tooth-extraction forceps, and the punch does not place clamps.
Choosing the clamp assortment
Clamps are identified by figure, and jaw size, curvature, serration and wing design differ between them. Two kits with the same number of clamps can hold different assortments, and a larger piece count can mean extra frames, holders or consumables rather than more clamp options. Frame, sheets and care
The frame supports the sheet. The two are separate components with their own specifications, so when you compare this kit with an existing setup, match the frame you need and the sheet format you use. If you also need dam sheets or a storage case, tell us the material, size or type, and quantity you require.
Clean and rinse the instruments after use, dry them, and inspect the clamps, the forceps joint, the punch plate and the frame. Put instrument lubricant on moving joints where the instructions allow it, and package, process and store the instruments according to your facility's validated protocol. Cleaning is separate from sterilization.
