Cement Spatulas: Choosing a Figure

A cement spatula mixes dental cements, liners and bases on a mixing pad or glass slab. Its flat, stiff blade presses and folds thick material into a smooth, even mix without bending, and ours are double-ended, so each spatula has two blade sizes. The figures run from 00 to 4 and differ in blade length and width: smaller blades suit small quantities such as a liner, larger blades suit bigger mixes.

Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 each have two product codes, so when you reorder, use the code from your previous order to receive the same spatula. A 10-piece set lets you keep a spatula at each chair or mixing station, and the figures in the set are confirmed in your quotation. Evaluation samples of 1–3 pieces per pattern are available.

Mixing Spatula or Restorative Placement Instrument?

A cement spatula prepares material. A composite or restorative placement instrument carries, packs and shapes material in the cavity, and it is chosen for its working-end shapes, such as flat blades, paddles and rounded ends. Both may be called spatulas, but the blade design and the job differ, so compare the function and the blade profile before length or handle, and put each on its own order line.

Stiff or Flexible Blade, and the Material You Mix

Cement spatulas are stiff, which suits thick mixes. For a thin material that needs a flexible blade, tell us what you mix and we suggest a suitable spatula. When the exact feel matters, send a product reference or a sample rather than describing the blade only as flexible or stiff.

To match a spatula to your material, compare the blade width and profile, the rigidity and the handle, then follow the material manufacturer's instructions for the mixing surface and handling method. We confirm the spatula's geometry and construction without prescribing a mixing ratio or technique, and a general mixing description does not establish suitability for every cement, resin or impression material, so include the material's name and instructions with the enquiry when it is part of your requirement.

Mixing Bowls: Request Them Separately

No mixing bowl is listed on this page. If you need one, send a separate request with its material, capacity, dimensions, quantity and processing needs, and say whether you want a single bowl or a bowl-and-spatula set. A bowl is not assumed to come with a spatula or to follow from a product image, and we confirm bowl availability before adding one to the quotation.

Quote and Reprocessing Checklist

Send the figure or set, the blade width and length you need, the rigidity requirement, the handle, the quantity, any marking, the packaging and the destination, and attach an approved sample for an exact-match request. For repeat supply, keep the approved figure and product code with the order.

Available material, finish, manufacturing, packaging, certification, and export evidence can support the quotation. Clean cement off the blade straight after mixing, before it sets, and follow the supplied processing instructions and your facility's validated protocol.
